Jeremiah Alan Rich was born on July 8th, 1985 to Jerry and Linda Rich. From an early age, his creative mind was evident to all who met him. When he was five years old, Jeremiah's mother began teaching him piano. Interested in other things, he quit as soon as his parents would allow. Later, he would dabble in the world of guitar playing, but it was not until failed business deals and an identity crisis in his late teens, that he would discover his true talent in music.

“I was surprised that people actually wanted to hear what I was writing. The songs came out of intense prayer times and highlighted the struggles I was facing. I think people identify with others who face difficulties and are honest about it, not just those who appear to have it all together.”

Encouraged by friends and family, May of 2005 saw the release of Jeremiah's first major album, recorded in his college dorm room and a friend's duplex. The album, despite Jeremiah's full-time schooling and wedding planning, sold over 400 copies the first year it was available.

In January of 2007, Jeremiah met audio engineer and producer Lendell Black. Lendell has been involved in countless projects, leads worship at several churches, and composes music for television, including the Oprah Winfrey show. Jeremiah and Lendell are currently recording “The Sun Still Rises”, set to release in early 2008. This album, recorded at Imagine Studios, also features Matt Outlaw (who has worked with Evanesence) on percussion.

“I am excited to be working with such talented people. I think my last album, while an incredible start, left me longing to do more, as I was unable to collaborate with other musicians and had to accomplish all of the technical aspects myself. This is a dream come true.”

Jeremiah's music draws from many influences--including jazz, rock, classical, bluegrass, pop, and folk, a testament to the diversity of styles he admires. Concerts consist primarily of self-written songs from his extensive (50+) catalog, and if appropriate, a worship set. Jeremiah is available to play at your venue, and is eager to partner together in ministry, which may be requested on the contact page.

“It is my desire to write music that touches lives and encourages those who listen to it. I hope that by doing this, I can reach people and communicate the love of Christ.”
