Sometimes things get so crazy busy, and you just need a break. This week has been a bit of a (much needed) break, but next week I will be jumping back in to recording. Speaking of recording, we have made some awesome headway in the last few weeks, and not only in the studio. We will be doing all of the drums, electric guitar, and bass at Lifeword Studios in Conway, as they are more equipped to handle the drum tracks in particular, and our players are very near to Conway. Lifeword has been around for quite some time, and recently began building a brand, state of the art studio. We will be their first project in their new location.
Lendell visited a couple days ago, and has reported back with great news. They are just about done with everything, and it is looking incredible. In talking with their audio engineer, Mark, the subject of where we plan on mixing the CD came up. Until this point, our plan has been to do the mixing at Lendell's studio and then sending it out to Nashville to be mastered. Mark offered to do the mixing for us. (And then we will still have it mastered in Nashville) What does this mean? It means the album will sound even better! Lendell is excellent at mixing, but this will let him sit back and really focus more on the production side, and will give us an extra set of ears. Mark has been mixing for more than 15 years, so we are so excited to be working with him.
So at this point we are expecting a late June release. Make sure to keep checking out this site though, as we will be adding some updated recordings. Thanks for all of the support and prayer, God is good!

Sorry for being out of touch for the last week or so... My travel to Chicago combined with a very busy recording schedule sure takes a lot out of me. I have been able to take a bit of a much needed break the last couple of days, which has been so refreshing. Hannah arrived safely back from her spring break trip on Sunday night (finally!) and I am so thankful to have her back. Makes me realize even more how much I need her and how she is such an integral part of all this. Today she will be going into the studio with me to see what is involved in the whole process, so that is very exciting.
Speaking of which, we now have the guitar tracks done for nearly half of the songs! We will retrack Most Wonderful's guitar and vocals, but other than that, we have quite a few final tracks. Yesterday we began the vocals on Restore, and before we know it, we will be halfway through this project. Finishing will certainly be bittersweet, but I am excited to get this out to all of you. Lendell's understanding of where I want to take this musically is astounding, and we are having such a fun time working on everything.
Thanks for your prayers; we are still shy of our goal, so if you are thinking about sending something in, please do as soon as you can, every little bit helps! But even more, please keep us in your prayers, because that is what we need the most.

Today my publicist called to let me know some awesome news. On April 21st, I will be playing at Rocketown in Nashville. This will be an incredible opportunity, as a lot of industry people will be present. I will have more details regarding this shortly, so I will keep you posted.
Secondly, at the end of the post is the song list for "The Sun Still Rises". This is NOT in order of how they will appear on the CD, but it is in alphabetical order. If one of your favorites is missing off of this list, head on over to the preorder page, and help support this CD so it can be on the next album.
This CD has a mix of old ones and new ones, so there should be something for everyone.
Also, Roger, my manager, has begun posting on the blog. My wife will be blogging soon as well as my producer, Lendell Black. This should help keep you informed on the status of this project. Thanks for your continued prayer and support, God is providing!

Welcome to jeremiahrich.com 3.4.something...! We have reorganized a lot of the site to make it easier to find your way around. For instance, the Forum link has been moved to "Interact". We realized just how many links there were flooding the top, and new a change needed to be made. Also, this version has the inclusion of the "Sitemap". There you can find the link to every page layed out, so if you are trying to find something, that may be a good place to start. As always, if you have any feedback, please do get in touch. This can be found on the Interact page as well.
This week will be a bit of a break for me, as I have been pushing very hard for the last couple of weeks getting mailers out, recording, and all that fun stuff. Lendell and I will spend all of Wednesday recording, and then pick up on the following Monday. I am thankful for this, as Hannah will be leaving for her spring break choir tour with JBU on Saturday, thus giving us a good amount of time together before then. So pray for us as we are apart. It is hard enough to not see her all day and get back late at night. So many times I will get home, and before I am even out of the car, she is standing right outside the door to give me a big hug and kiss.
Finally, I am getting an office! It isn't very big, but it will certainly serve our needs. A friend of mine, Kelly, is starting a balloon shop, and has offered to give me the "back room" to use for an office. It won't be huge, but it will give me a place to do my calls. Also, after store hours, I will be able to work on videos for the website, as well as videos for a few of the projects I have mentioned in the past. This is great, because we have so many space constraints right now in our apartment. Ultimately, it would be great to be able to get our own place, but for the time being, I am very thankful this will be working out. Enjoy the pictures below of my future cave!

Check out the helium tanks on the left!

Thankfully these walls will be painted.

This week has been a very draining week. It was the first full week of recording. Don't get me wrong; I am loving the recording process so much more than I ever thought I would, but it is a lot of work alongside everything else that must be done. So your prayers are greatly appreciated. I ended up being up all night Thursday, and was worried that we wouldn't be able to do much on Friday. I was very surprised, however, when it ended up being up probably the best day we have had thus far! God truly is blessing this project, as we are getting results past anything I had ever imagined. We spent nearly 6 straight hours (with a break for lunch) working on "All For You". We have not mixed the vocals or guitar at all yet, so keep that in mind. But you can listen to this right now here on the website on the left side and click on "All For You". Hope you enjoy it!
In a few days, I will be posting a tentative song list for the album, so look for that soon. Thanks!

Recording is not all that has been happening lately. With what we need to raise to make this album a possibility, we decided it would be a good idea to send out demo cds to friends and family. Hannah has been very helpful in helping get these out, as we have sent out 500 of these in the last week. Now, if we were only sending a letter, that would be one thing, but it is a bit more complicated than that... There are a total of over 20 steps and pieces that go into each individual mailer. Sure glad to have it over with.
So, feast your eyes on the following images to get a little idea of what this involved:

Look at all that stuff!

Look at all that stuff!

It may not look like much, but that's more than 40 hours worth of work!
Oh, the joys of a recording project. But seriously, I am enjoying every step of this, as the end result will be well worth everything. I'll keep ya'll updated!
