Recording!
posted by Jeremiah on March 7 2007 from Siloam Springs, Arkansas
Well hello there everyone. On this week starting Monday, March 5th, we began working on the rest of the record, and I am pleased to say that we have made a ton of headway in just one week. This has been one of the busiest weeks ever, and I have been getting maybe 3 hours of sleep each night, but it's all good! I can genuinely say this has been one of the best weeks of my life. Lendell and I work together very well, and it is so fun to really be exploring the creative side of things with other instruments and such. It is opening up a whole new level of possibilities for what we can do.

And then there is fundraising... We are still shy of our goal, so if you are still deciding whether to preorder or not, please keep praying about what you can do to help make this project a reality. Thanks for your support, and keep stopping by to check out the updates. We will have some pictures from in the studio pretty soon, among other things, so I will see you back here soon!

The Sun Still Rises
posted by Jeremiah on February 27 2007 from Siloam Springs, Arkansas
After a few delays, I am proud to announce the name of the upcoming album, "The Sun Still Rises". I have chosen this name because God always provides, always comes through. I am sort of coming out of a big time of learning. Learning He always provides, that my worth is in HIM, not in other people or my accomplishments. And because of that I know that HE will always come through, even when I fail. This is not the name of a song on the album; rather the title of the theme of my life over the last year or so.

I apologize that it has taken me so long to get this to you, but once you hear the demo song, I think you will find it worth the wait. So without further ado, please visit www.thesunstillrises.com to hear the recording of "Most Wonderful" from the new album and to read a letter about this new project.

There you can also place preorders and make donations towards The Sun Still Rises. We are in need of a minimum of $20,000 to make this a reality, so please share this with your friends. You can help us out by sending people to www.thesunstillrises.com to learn more and to place preorders. I look forward to updating you on the status of our funds, as well as the status of the songs.

We will begin recording the rest of the songs this coming Monday, March 5th, and are trusting that the required amount will come in to pay for the first week of recording. Please remember that prayer is the biggest thing we need right now (and at any time for that matter). Whether it be financially, your prayers, or both, we greatly appreciate your continued support.

Recording update
posted by Jeremiah on February 16 2007 from Siloam Springs, AR
The first recording of Most Wonderful is completed. All that is left is to finish mixing it, and it will be ready to be put up on the site. I am very impressed what Lendell has been able to do with it! Let me tell you, it sure beats recording everything myself. Speaking of which, I am quickly learning I cannot do all of this myself. I am one of those people that likes to rely solely on himself for everything. I built and maintain this website, a new record company (which you will hear more about shortly), booking, etc. It has definitely been a source of pride in my life that I do all this, and is really teaching me some lessons about relying on others and on the Lord. Gotta love all those lessons!

So very shortly this audio file will be up on the website for all of you to hear, but I need to have a few more things in place first. Thank you for your patience and continued support, it really means the world to us. Really.

Texas, here we come!
posted by Jeremiah on February 12 2007 from Siloam Springs, AR
This weekend has been a lot of fun. I got to take a bit of a break today, which was much needed. Yesterday I drove down to Little Rock for a show. I had been thinking it was in Fort Smith, just an hour and a half away, but on Friday night realized it was in Little Rock, nearly 4 hours away. So that was a fun little drive. The show was a lot of fun, and I got to meet a few awesome bands in the area.

The schedule may look a slight bit dead at the moment, but we are working on some stuff at the end of February as well as March. As of right now we have done nothing in Texas, but we have nearly 10 leads there. So if you are in Dallas or Houston, look out, here we come!

Finally and most importantly, the recording of Most Wonderful should be finished on Tuesday. I should have it done sometime on Wednesday. I can say for sure at this point that the recording quality is so much better than anything I have had previously. It is also such an awesome experience to be working with Lendell, who really understands the sound that I have been looking for. Make sure to stop by on Wednesday to hear Most Wonderful, and thanks for coming by!

Day 1
posted by Jeremiah on February 6 2007 from Siloam Springs, AR
Today was the first day of recording "Most Wonderful" and it went pretty well, all things considered. We will be finishing the track on Friday, so I expect to be able to share it here on the site this weekend. Unfortunately I developed some sort of sickness over the weekend, so I have been left with much less energy than normal. So it is a welcome change to finish on Friday as opposed to tomorrow. Thanks for the conitnued prayer. Please keep my health in your prayers this week. Thanks!

Recording Tomorrow!
posted by Jeremiah on February 5 2007 from Siloam Springs, AR
I had a very awesome weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas. A pastor invited me to stay with him and his family for the weekend, and we had a blast! It certainly took a lot of stress away from the weekend, and let me simply enjoy it. The show at the Attic was awesome, so thank you everyone who made it out. I had a blast! Make sure to check out the videos page in the next couple of days, as I will post a clip or two from the show.

Tomorrow is the "official" first day of recording, and as it turns out, I have a bit of a fever at the moment. But I don't think it will get in the way.. It just seems that so many things are coming up right now, and I have so many plates spinning. I am trying to keep track of album production, promotion for GMA, photography, recording, raising funds, etc. So your continued support means a lot. BUT, I am excited to share this recording with you as soon as Wednesday evening, so make sure to check back soon!
