Fundraising
posted by Jeremiah on January 22 2007 from St. Louis, MO
I just arrived in St. Louis, and I plan to spend the week figuring out how to raise funds for the upcoming album. As mentioned in my previous post, I plan on starting to record on March 1, so it is integral that this part is worked out soon. Please be praying for the ministry this week. If you feel led, please do get in touch with us if you would like to support this ministry. The amount feels astronomical at this point, so I have to keep in mind we are relying on the Creator of everything. He has infinite power! I really appreciate your prayers during this week, especially being away from my wife. Thanks for your support!

It's Official!

This time let's just cut to the chase. On March 1st, 2007, I will begin recording the next album. In my last post, I mentioned that I met with a producer on Saturday. His name is Lendell Black, and he has agreed to help with the album. It will be recorded at his studio in Fayetteville, AR. This should put the release of the album sometime in late April/early May. He is a very talented composer, and he has even worked (and is working) for the Oprah show, so I believe I am in good hands. At this point, things are moving along rather quickly, and I look forward to sharing more news soon.

The schedule is filling up incredibly quickly. While there are currently six shows on the books, I will be adding in another 10 by the end of the week. We are now booking about a year in advance, so please do get in touch if you would like to partner together in ministry. We are working on some stuff in Texas, as well as South Carolina! It looks very likely that I will be helping with a Wizard of Oz showing in South Carolina, and that may become a regular thing. So there are very exciting things in the works.

Finally, we are going to be putting together a street team. In order to do this, a lot of work must be done on the website. So in the meantime, visit this page and enter your email to be notified when this will become live. Thanks for your support, and make sure to check back periodically for updates. God bless!

Hey everyone! I am back from LA, and this week marked the first week of busy, busy work. But it is worth it! First off, a new show is on the books, and there are another 10 or so in the works. There are some new prospects, which I look forward to sharing soon. In addition to this, I met with a producer today. It seems likely that we will work together to record the upcoming album. If it works out as planned, the recording will be done over the month of March. So that puts the release date around late April/May. There are still a lot of details to be worked out, so please keep this in your prayers. Many doors have opened this last week, very much confirming that this is of God. Thanks for your continued support, and may God bless you this year!

A New Beginning
posted by Jeremiah on January 1 2007 from Los Angeles, CA
2006 has been an incredible year. I suppose I touched upon some of this in my last post, but will go more in depth here. My new life with my wife Hannah has been a blast! At the same time, it has been a roller coaster which has had nothing to do with our marriage. The adjustment to married life has been surprisingly easy, which is an awesome blessing!

This year school has become surprisingly difficult. It is not that I have found school very easy in the past, but it has been such a struggle to keep it a priority. Early on in the semester I began to feel that full time school was not the right place for me at the moment. This was a feeling that continued to grow. It felt as if the Lord was nudging me, gently showing me that He had something else in mind. Being newly married, the thought of doing anything else scared me! Where would the finances come from? What else should I be doing?

The last few years have certainly strengthened my trust in God, and He has always, always come through! (No surprise there). It was at the various concerts throughout the semester that I started to get the idea, started to feel a true direction and leading. Hannah and I began to discuss the possibility of putting my schooling on hold, and to pursue music full time.

This raised another question. How would I do all the work required to make this happen? As it turns out, my manager, Roger, graduated from JBU in December. After various jobs fell through for him, we began to discuss what he felt called to the most. The answer was music ministry, but he couldn't see how that would be possible due to financial concerns, and the immense work it would take to make that happen.

This is where I had my "Moses" moment. "Why me God? You know there are others more qualified to do this. I can't. I am newly married, the finances cannot work, ...."

Thankfully I have had the privilege of making close friends and mentors, and the consensus all around was that this was the Lord's leading. Through much prayer, thought, and confirmation, Roger, Hannah, and I have made the decision that I will begin to pursue a full time music career, starting in January, 2007.

Roger will be working with me full time to make this happen, and that means a ton of work in a short time. But why should that be a scary thing? Look at what the Lord has done! He can do the impossible, and we recognize that it will be only by His grace and strength that any of this will happen.

We are taking comfort in the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 that says,

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

2007 will be a very exciting year and I want to welcome you to join us in this new adventure! I will remain committed to keeping all of you updated on the site. There are a few major projects that we are working on, including a new album in the spring, and I am excited to begin sharing all of this with you as soon as possible. Thank you for your love and support and Happy New Year! 2007 will be a very exciting year... Very exciting year indeed!

Merry (almost) Christmas
posted by Jeremiah on December 17 2006 from Siloam Springs, AR
First off, thank you all for such a wonderful year. It has been a year of ups and downs, of seeking direction, and of such huge blessings. As you know, I got married in July. That has been wonderful, and Hannah has been supporting me wholeheartedly in this new journey. Thank you Hannah for your love and support!

Really, it has been a year in which I have learned so much about trusting in God, in new ways I had never thought of. He has provided financially for all of our needs, even when it was last minute. At least last minute in my own eyes. But I suspect it was to get me to trust in Him more.

Thank you for an awesome year. Updates may be sparse this month, due to me taking a break to spend time with family and such. But make sure to stop by on Christmas for something special. Thanks again!

Moving Forward.

Hey there. Been doing a lot of work on the website, and there are some cool new features. First off, if you had any of the movie links bookmarked, you will need to update the link, as it has changed to be a bit easier to organize. Now it is easy to share these with your friends, as each movie provides you with a link. Just copy and paste this to share the video. Also been working on making it easier for me to add videos, so more should be coming soon.

Some changes have taken place on the news page as well. You can view individual posts by clicking on the title of the post. (Like you can do with this one). And then it has the same system for sharing the link with someone. You also can sort based on oldest post first, etc. So feel free to go back and check out the first posts ever on the site.

About the lyrics page, I have added more songs. A couple of the songs are new, so make sure to check it out. Hopefully they can be a blessing to you.

We have started to book through next summer, so please get in touch with me if you are interested in working something out with your church or venue. If you attend a church and would like to talk to your pastor or music director about this possibility, feel free to send them to this website, and perhaps share one of the videos with them.

God really is so good. While it has been a difficult few months, I know God is in control, and some pretty cool stuff is coming together. I look forward to sharing all of this with you in the next week or two. Thank you everyone for your support, it means so much.
