You know how things tend to like to break at the most in opportune times? And you know how I was planning on recording today? Well, I went out to the car at 1 to drive to Lendell's to record, and the thing wouldn't start! Turns out I left the lights on. No biggie, we will just jump it right? Wrong. After trying to jump the car for about 30 minutes with two different vehicles, we determined we should try a new battery. So a quick trip to Autozone and one duralast battery later, we still had the same problem. I got in touch with all 3 venues for the weekend and explained the situation, and all is well on that front. This has reminded me for our need of a good reliable vehicle. So please keep this in your prayers.
About half an hour ago, I went out to try to start the car again. Out of curiosity I opened the panel under the steering wheel, and found a clicking sound. I tried disconnecting what appeared to be an old car alarm, and viola! Started up just fine. But this problem is just one of many we have been having lately, and the car does not feel safe on the highway. I think it will be best to work this weekend on fixing an old Honda we got recently, as the Sidekick just does not seem safe. Who knows, maybe God allowed this to happen to keep me off the road this weekend.
I am of course disappointed about not beginning the recording today, but it's okay. Lendell and I will begin on Monday, and as a result, will actually have bigger chunks of time to work. We should have it done sometime on Wednesday. And I will spend this weekend trying to figure out the car situation and working on support for the album. Thank you for your continuing support and prayer. This will all work out, and I am not even worried. I know the Lord will provide, just not quite how yet. But He will.

I arrived back home on Saturday morning. The good Lord kept me safe in my little old Sidekick in over 1,000 miles of travel. The situation with the locked keys in the car worked out wonderfully, as I found out that State Farm would reimburse me for the cost of unlocking the doors. Sweet! God always works things out.
So a lot has been going on since my last post. We now have a plan in place for raising the needed money for the cd. We will be pre selling albums for $20 a pop. $5 of it will be a donation, as the cd will ultimately retail for $15, but this is what we need to make this project a reality. I will have a system in place shortly for pre-ordering directly through the website.
Last week my good friend Aaron Pacentine conducted a small phone interview, and has posted it online at his website, videosforfamily.com here. Aaron has been helping me with quite a few different things over the past couple of weeks, and is helping with a lot of aspects of the ministry right now. He is also putting together a Wizard Of Oz presentation, which you can read more about at his website. If all goes as planned, I will be a part of this wonderful ministry.
Finally, we are beginning recording this week! Thursday, February 1st will lead way for the first song on the upcoming album: Most Wonderful. We will finish this and then pick up on March 1st for the rest. So look for this to be posted to the website sometime in the next couple of weeks for a taste of what is to come. If you are able to help us out with our financial needs, we greatly appreciate it. But even more, please be praying, as that is the most important thing you can be doing. Thanks for the support and the prayers, I love you all!

Last night was an all-nighter for me. I had a breakfast meeting with a good friend at 6:30, so I decided to stay up and get some work done. When he got to the restaurant, I shut the door, not realizing the keys were inside. Whoops! So I am back in the Holiday Inn restaurant waiting for the towing company to arrive. Fun stuff! But hey, how can I complain? It is giving me a good hour (at least!) to sit down and take a breather. I need one anyways after hearing how much they want to open my door.
In all seriousness, God always gives us times when He wants us to simply slow down. Guess this is one of those times.

This has been a busy but fun week. I have spent it in St. Louis, and some of my time consisted of: going to the orthodontist, going to the dentist, watching movies, and sleeping. It has been a good "break" of sorts, but there has also been a lot going on as far as music is concerned. Yesterday, I met with a good friend of mine to discuss how to raise the support needed for the upcoming album, and we now have a plan in place. Over the next few days I will be revealing the details of this in full. For the meantime, keep us in your prayers. Thanks, and God Bless!

I just arrived in St. Louis, and I plan to spend the week figuring out how to raise funds for the upcoming album. As mentioned in my previous post, I plan on starting to record on March 1, so it is integral that this part is worked out soon. Please be praying for the ministry this week. If you feel led, please do get in touch with us if you would like to support this ministry. The amount feels astronomical at this point, so I have to keep in mind we are relying on the Creator of everything. He has infinite power! I really appreciate your prayers during this week, especially being away from my wife. Thanks for your support!

This time let's just cut to the chase. On March 1st, 2007, I will begin recording the next album. In my last post, I mentioned that I met with a producer on Saturday. His name is Lendell Black, and he has agreed to help with the album. It will be recorded at his studio in Fayetteville, AR. This should put the release of the album sometime in late April/early May. He is a very talented composer, and he has even worked (and is working) for the Oprah show, so I believe I am in good hands.
At this point, things are moving along rather quickly, and I look forward to sharing more news soon.
The schedule is filling up incredibly quickly. While there are currently six shows on the books, I will be adding in another 10 by the end of the week. We are now booking about a year in advance, so please do get in touch if you would like to partner together in ministry. We are working on some stuff in Texas, as well as South Carolina! It looks very likely that I will be helping with a Wizard of Oz showing in South Carolina, and that may become a regular thing. So there are very exciting things in the works.
Finally, we are going to be putting together a street team. In order to do this, a lot of work must be done on the website. So in the meantime, visit this page and enter your email to be notified when this will become live. Thanks for your support, and make sure to check back periodically for updates. God bless!
