Visit the Forum.
posted by Jeremiah on September 27 2006 from Siloam Springs, AR
Today I added a Forum to the site. Check it out to discuss songwriting, life, spiritual things, talk about my favorite company, Apple, or to ask me questions. A few of you have been testing this out for me, and I appreciate it. Signups are now open to anyone, so get to it!

Tomorrow I am helping with Piney Point Baptist's revival. It is a blessing to be able to partner with the local churches in ministry. It is very exciting to see all of the lives that God has His hand on.

Well, that is all for now. Thanks for checking out the site. I will have a few more additions in the near future, but it is nice to be done with most of the coding. Thanks for those who have helped, especially to Scott Fitzhugh, for your help coding. Couldn't have done it withoutcha.

Storms Galore
posted by Jeremiah on September 23 2006 from Siloam Springs, AR
For any of you mid-westerners, you know what I am talking about when I say we were hit by huge storms last night. Last night I played over at Pontiac Coffee in Springdale. I had no sooner gotten my gear inside, when the storm hit full force. A power surge took out the burgler alarm, and we had to listen to the stinkin' thing go off for nearly an hour. Apparently there were something like 5 tornados within 30 miles of us! Fortunately the show still worked out, and thank you to all 10 or so of you who braved the storm to watch. It was a good time.

Plans for the next cd are moving forward, but there is still much to work out. We are praying funding will come in to make the project possible, but know God will provide. I will be posting some interviews here on the site in the next week, as well as some video, so make sure to come by again soon. Thanks for stopping by, and stay safe in the crazy weather!

9/11 - 5 years later
posted by Jeremiah on September 11 2006 from Siloam Springs, AR
This day is one of my clearest memories. I had just been dismissed from Japanese class at 10, and was told by a friend of mine in the hall what had happened up to that point. I wasn't even sure what the World Trade Center was. I arrived at the classroom and watched the coverage. Being a sophomore at the time, our class was required attend a pep rally. I was incredibly frustrated that they decided to "push ahead" and ignore the tragedy that had just taken place. During this time the second plane struck the tower. Our teachers did not let us watch the coverage, and during this time the towers collapsed. All of our teachers had this "We can push through and still function" mentality. It was not until that evening I was able to process it all.

Over the past five years, I have frequently heard people ask how a loving God can exist when things like this happen. I have been amazed at all the stories of people who were, for some strange reason, not at work that day. And still others who did make it out. This was a terrible tragedy, but God's glory is still was present. And I am thankful for the brave individuals on flight 93 who prevented yet another tragedy. In the midst of such horrific events, there is so much to be thankful for. Like our continued freedom.

All politics aside, may we be thankful for those who protect us. Yes, there will continue to be events such as these. But God is still in control.

Only 100 cds left.
posted by Jeremiah on September 8 2006 from Siloam Springs, AR
Today, well, technically yesterday, I placed an order for 100 more cds. Originally I intended to stop at 400, but I am being asked on a daily basis where cds may be purchased. So, because of this, and that 500 will make a nice number, and sounds cooler than 400, I have decided to make one last limited run of 100. Please get in contact with me if you wish to have one of these, and soon, as they will be gone soon. I will have a system in place shortly to order online if you wish.

Some of you may have noticed the little audio interview posted last week on Myspace. This sneak peak will become a regular feature here on the site, so stay tuned for more updates on it.

Thank you all for your support. It really is a busy and stressful time between school, being married, choir, and the music. I appreciate your prayers, in specific for something to work out with a new vehicle. Our 1993 Suzuki Sidekick has all but bit the dust, and we really need something that can get us around to the upcoming shows. God has aways provided, and will continue to do so! So your prayers mean a lot.

Last but not least, check out the shows list to see if there is something coming up soon near you. I am still trying to work some stuff out in Missouri, so please let me know if you or your church would be interested in partnering together in ministry. The schedule is filling up, so let me know. Thanks!

Upcoming show, and new site stuff.
posted by Jeremiah on August 27 2006 from Siloam Springs, AR
All right, first off, there is a new show on the books. I will be playing on October 6th at a local coffee shop called City Coffee Co. (Here in Siloam Springs). I will have an opener around 7PM and then go on around 8ish. So, make sure to save the date.

Also, just finished adding an email newsletter, so make sure to sign up to receive updates about the coming cd. And don't worry, this isn't one of those "every day" mailing list things. More like once a month. Keep checking back for more upcoming shows. We are working on some stuff in both Columbia and Kirksville Missouri, among other places.
