My primary guitar is a Santa Cruz D P/W 2003 model, which can be seen in the above photo. It is equipped with a b-band pickup consisting of their now discontinued A2 preamp. The A2 is connected to two pickups, the first of which is an Acoustic Soundboard Transducer (AST). The second pickup is their Under Saddle Transducer, which can be found on the same website. The nice thing about this preamp is that it runs a stereo line out, allowing me to blend the tone of these two pickups externally, unlike their newer preamps that only do internal blending. I use medium Elixir Nanoweb strings. Mediums are also my preferred string of choice.

My backup guitar is a Tacoma DR20e 1997 model. Before 1997, Tacoma used laminated back in sides, and 1997 was the first year they began using solid rosewood instead. I got this guitar a few months back for an incredibly good deal, and had it worked on to have the ivoroid nut and saddle replaced with a custom cut job. This completely opened up the sound, and I now have a beautiful sounding mellow instrument. I use Elixir Polyweb Lights on this guitar, as it pretty much requires light strings. I use this guitar for any fingerstyle work/finger tapping, especially due to the light strings. I am not sure what kind of a pickup this guitar has, other than the fact that I know it is some sort of a fishman. At some point I would love to replace it with a dual source b-band pickup.

For my computer, I currently am using a MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo with 2 gigs of ram. I lucked out on getting this machine, as my Powerbook died on me, and Apple replaced it with this. It really was a blessing; God's provision!

I use the MacBook Pro alongside a Motu 896HD, which I now route all of my live sound through using Ableton Live.

In the coming weeks and months, I will be adding more information about the equipment I use as I have time. In the meantime, head over to our Forum to discuss gear and other cool stuff like this.
