Dear Fans,
We have drafted the following statement that outlines our policy on taping and trading the recordings of live shows. We are more than happy to allow fans to tape our live performances unless otherwise stated, or if a venue has a specific policy against taping. We are happy to allow fans to trade our shows, but would like to be informed whenever a show is made available online at the contact page. That way we can stay informed about what is being circulated.
Any taping that takes place must not interfere with other guests's enjoyment of the performace. An example of this would be asking someone to move so that a mic may be placed in a better position. You are allowed to tape as long as it does not hinder someone else's enjoyment of the performance.
No commercial gain may be sought by websites offering digital files of our music, whether through advertising, exploiting databases compiled from their traffic, or any other means.
All participants in such digital exchange acknowledge and respect the copyrights of the performers, writers and publishers of the music.
This notice should be clearly posted on all sites engaged in this activity.
We reserve the ability to withdraw our sanction of non-commercial digital music should circumstances arise that compromise our ability to protect and steward the integrity of our work.
Please do your best to offer the shows in a lossless format, such as .flac or .shn to maintain the integrity of the original recording.
Thank you for your help in maintaining a good environment for fan enjoyment. At any time this statement may be revised without notice, but we do not forsee this being an issue. Thank you for your support.
